I am a former nuclear engineer and current self-employed currency trader living in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am an ex-submariner, private pilot and photographer. I am surrounded by water, mountains, high-tech, and the most eclectic city I can imagine.

I enjoy photography because it makes me see the world differently. Without a camera, the world just passes by. With one, every day is a new search for interesting compositions — paying attention to lines, shapes, textures, alignments, and lighting. I think once you're hooked, it's hard to turn these things off – they follow you everywhere and are waiting for you when you get there.

I primarily shoot landscapes, wildlife, and night photography. I don't typically photograph people but it's something I am interested in working on going forward.
